This presentation explores the structural evolution of cities through the lens of Newman and Kenworthy’s Theory of Urban Fabrics. We will examine how the historical layers of walking, transit, and automobile-dependent urban forms dictate modern mobility patterns. By contrasting the "Bird’s Eye View" of satellite cartography with the "Human View" street images, the talk discusses how we can bridge the gap between macro-scale infrastructure and the lived, human-scale experience of the city.
